CHILD LABOUR

            One of the root causes of a nation downfall is that its youth is not in the education sector but actually it is working at such a young age without getting proper knowledge first.

Today in Pakistan, majority of the children are working in factories or industries, and there is no one to address this issue. There is even law against such work which clearly states that children cannot be put to work who are younger than 14 years old. 

           

            But, what I see is whenever I go to a restaurant there will be a little kid taking my order. And lets accept this for one moment that they are working, they do not even get full wage according to their work. The main reason why the parents of these kids allow them to work is poverty and lack of education. Their helplessness kills them. They are forced to send their kids in factories rather than schools. 

           

            What people don't realize is that when these kids will grow up, they will still remain backward, illiterate and poor. The government needs to create awareness in such masses to make them realize what grave crime they are committing by sending their kids to such industries. The awareness should come from the top leadership and should be spread around every street and house.
